It is significant because we see how much GOD loves us and how willing He is to forgive us. He doesn’t just give up on us.

It proves to humankind, that despite our sinful nature, our weakness, and our rebellion, he has unconditional love for us, and is willing to allow us an alternative escape (of Salvation – through His Son , Jesus).

The truth that God loved His people so much that despite their rebelliousness and all their shortcomings He still pursued their hearts and reached out to them is significant in showing that God truly loves His people and is committed to His people because of His desire to be with us. This shows us today that He loves is in this same way and that is so wonderful because we all want to be desired, we all want to be wanted and pursued deep down. What a magnificent thing it is that we are wanted and pursued by the Creator and King of the universe!

This is significant because this shows us how much God is willing to patiently endure (long suffering) to lead, guide and love his people. Because of His love I can stand on His faithful promises because He has proven to be faithful.

It shows us how His grace is abundant and even though we sin and rebel He will still reach out to us to save our sins.
