I think that having an understanding of the overall flow of the old testament has several Benefits. The first benefit being of personal use. Am I looking for books that address the mind, will, and emotions, or perhaps that of Gods mercy? Another befit is for others, being able to give a knowledgable overview to others and stir up in them a deeper desire for knowing the books of the old testament.
