The purpose of this course is to give ourselves a flow of how the Old Testament fits together. What might be a benefit that would result from learning this?

God is a God of order, yet I’ve always struggled with the chronological soup in regards to how the Old Testament is arranged. Understanding now that the OT is divided into 3 types of literature makes sense and is consistent with His nature.

A deeper understanding of how the Old Testament fits together allows me a deeper understanding of God and it will be beneficial in teaching others about His love if I deepen that understanding.

Given as a flow of the Old Testament, is synonymous to given as a more cohesive understanding which will allow us to use the information more efficiently in our daily lives.

I think the old testament is God showing us what he wants out of his people and if we obey we will be rewarded. This is important to understand before moving into the new testament and understanding why he brought his only son to this earth.
