The purpose of this course is to give ourselves a flow of how the Old Testament fits together. What might be a benefit that would result from learning this?

For me the more I learn about the Old Testament the more I desire to discover more truths about life and my heritage and genealogy. I would like to discover were my family roots fit into all of this. Once I start believing, I start wondering about my true identity in Christ.

It will allow us to understand the purpose and arrangement of the people, places, things and focus of different areas of the Old Testament in order to gain a greater understanding of Gods plan and His purposes in our lives.

Since the New Testament and the life of Jesus mirrors the Old Testament, learning the intricacies of the Old Testament will also allow for a better understanding of exactly how and why Jesus did what he did for us.

Understanding the layout and flow of the Bible might help give us insight in to what to expect from a book and how to properly understand is part in the informing of us God’s plan
