I would love to offer more encouragement to students who are not feeling motivated and see them in more extra-curricular activities. Sometimes, I get in a rut because I can see that they are not trying their best and instead of getting them to interact more in course and offer praise for the little accomplishments they have, I tend to move forward with the students that are trying just to keep the course moving forward.

We have a prayer wall in the main entrance. Students will put their prayer request and when their prayer/s have been answered the student can move it to the prayer answered column. This visual reminds them of the goodness of God.

I want to challenge my students and also make history more relevant and interactive for all my students with trips, museum visits, and maybe even artifacts.

Pray for them daily by name.

Every day I greet my students in Spanish, and during dismissal I say goodbye in Spanish. I high five them, and with one special student I give him a “chameleon high five”. (I put my hand like the “star trek” salute and very slowly high five him. :o)
