What are one or two practices you’d like to implement that would allow you to demonstrate your care for and commitment to your students? If you already have practices in place, what are they?

I would like to have scheduled “office hours” where students can come get help academically and personally. It would be a standing time where they can come talk to me about their issues. This eliminates the need for them to ask to meet with me and may give them more incentive to talk to me.

Talking with former students, watching their afterschool activities of both former and current.

I start all of my courses with taking prayer requests and praises and then we pray together. I also talk to the students throughout the week and see how God is answering those prayer requests. I also have a discipleship group that I meet with once a week and we do life together. We discuss chapel and talk about what struggles they are having in their lives.

I would find out what they like to do and encourage their talents in the teaching of Christ.
What their struggles are pray with them, encourage them and let them know individually how proud of them I am of their accomplishments. Make learning also fun. -
I would like to develop some more advanced studies for some of my high-achievers.
