I think many people don’t actually even know what it looks like to be Christ followers; they claim to be Christians because it’s the “American way.” Others want to follow Christ, but are perhaps disillusioned with the church or the faith. And some simply don’t possess the fruits of the Spirit and are immature Christians.

Noticeable reasons why people who say they’re Christians don’t act like it, firstly it’s because of worldly desires or desires of the flesh, lack of faith to God through his true words, lack of zealous of personal prayers.
