What are some reasons one should study the Old Testament?

Because Christ is found in the OT, because it was written down for our profit and learning.

The Old Testament is filled with the history of God and how he dealt with his people. Here we get to see how He operated and we can see the difference now that Jesus gave His life for us.

It gives us a rich history of Jesus, and our ancestors and a picture of ourselves.

It’s our foundation for learning about God and growing our relationship with him. I like how the transcript shared the OT is giving us answers for all of life’s questions: Origin, Meaning, Condition, Salvation and Destiny. These are excellent topics for evangelism because all humans have these questions.

It is the foundation of getting to know God and how we should live. It predicts the coming of our savior Jesus Christ.
