What are some reasons one should study the Old Testament?

We should study the Old Testament because it tells us about the beginning of God, of his existence and God’s plan for mankind. In order to understand the New Testament we should study the Old Testament and realize that some prophecies have yet to be fulfilled. Man will not know what they are unless they have read the Bible.

You should study the Old Testament help understand the New. Old is the foundation like building a building you need a good foundation. Without a good foundation the walls will not stand and they will fall. Without the foundation of the Old Testament the New Testament would just be words on the paper
