What are some reasons one should study the Old Testament?

To further understand the New Testament, to understand where we (Earth, humanity, all of creation) came from, and initial teachings from God & people in the Old Testament that discuss ways of life and worship.

The reasons one should study the Old Testament is that it introduces us to God and tells us that God is in the beginning and that Hes the creator of the universe and earth. It tells us how sin came into the world and the promises that God made to the man and woman. It tells us how God is present in every human interaction no matter what’s happening and there is no one or system greater than God.

It tells us about how life began
It tells us about how evil came into the world
It prophecies about Jesus the Messiah-Redeemer
It inspires us to holy living -
The reasons one should study the Old Testament are:
1. The Old Testament provides the foundation of the whole Bible.
2. The Old Testament tells us about Jesus Christ.
3. The Old Testament provides the foundation for faith in Christ.
4. The Old Testament helps us to know God. -
Some reasons are that we get to know God more, know more about history, and we can know the prophecies about Christ.
