What are some reasons one should study the Old Testament?

The Old testament is God breathed scripture , it provides a foundation for the new testament and the bible is one on going story of Gods redemption plan.

OT provides us a foundation to the Bible as a whole;
It tells us about Jesus Christ;
It provides the foundation for faith;
It helps us to really know God.

2. The O.T. tell us about Jesus
3. The O.T. provides the foundation for faith in Christ
4. The O.T. helps us to know God

1) It is a foundation of our faith in Christ
2) Prophesies about the coming of the messiah
3) Help us know God

The Old Testament tells us about God and how he created the world and our role that He intended us the play in it. Also, we need that foundation for our Christian walk.
