i consider Old Testament is basics of the New Testament and reveals God’s creation, man’s rejection of God, and God’s plan of salvation of the fallen humanity.

The Old Testament is the beginning , God is trying to show us redemption and reconciliation through Jesus Christ. It has principles that carry over to the New testament. It is foundational.

It informs us about God, how life began, how evil came into the world, it tells us about the Messiah, inspires us to live holy, and it will fill our hearts with gratitude and praise. it is laid out as the foundation of the entire bible, informs us about Jesus, and helps us to know and understand God.
