Prayer is my ultimate strategy, I have this thing called the alter no matter if its addiction, broken heart of letter go of a significant other ], I simply prayer “ Lord today I offer this to you to take this feeling or thing away from me” it gives. Me peace and I am able to overcome the things I need to overcome.

One of the biggest strategies that I have use is to always remember that God is with me, He loves me and He is for me. Basically the same as was spoken of in this lesson. These were very helpful to me as they allowed me to focus on my heavenly Father being ever present. in my situation.

I have prayed and journaled. They are very helpful because I am allowed an outlet of what’s going on inside of my heart and mind.

I go to God’s Word. I pray. I listen to praise and worship songs. If things get overwhelming I seek wise counsel. All of these things are helpful. They tend to calm my spirit and refocus my attention on God and His love for me rather than the problems I am facing. I keep doing this until God grants me the peace I so deeply need.

Prayer and a good stiff kick in the butt, this is what seems to work for me. Hope is my survival method, having come from an violent childhood if it were not for hope I would not have survived, if it were not for the fact that I believed with all my being that things get better, then I would have given up.
