I’ve suffered with obsessive compulsive disorder for about 40 years, and some days are difficult to get through, due to almost constant ruminations. These thoughts tend to cease, however, when in prayer and watching you tube videos of today’s big church choirs and orchestras.

I tend to reach out to people I trust and spend time with them. I also find comfort in Psalm 46:10.

I like reading the passage in Mt. 6:25-26,34 and of course finding good friends I can talk to.

Over worry I have faith and prepare as much as I could throughout the day in order to be ready for tomorrow.

Some strategies I’ve use to overcome worry are prayer, singing, and journaling. Prayer allows me to ask God to show me how to examine my role in the relationship and to lay my worry about it at His feet. I sing to release any tension being held. Finally, journaling allows me to speak to God in writing. Yes, these strategies help me to be honest with my feelings and pour my heart out to God, accept when I have been wrong and seek forgiveness and when wronged be willing to forgive.
