To encourage growth mindset in myself, I enjoyed reading new things often. Reading and learning are essential to growth mindset. I try to do new things and challenge myself physically also. I enjoy running and staying active so as to not become stagnant. I enjoy discussions with others who push me to learn more. Iron sharpens Iron.

I have always been a lifelong learner so is not new to me. I am always trying to learn something new or grow in an area. I also like to stretch myself by learning things that are difficult such as I recently took up the guitar.

I try to take new learning opportunities for myself whenever I can. I was able to attend an ACSI Fine Arts Roundtable and the information I received from peers who have been doing this much longer than I have was invaluable. There is something to be said for a growth mindset for yourself that will translate on down to your students.

A growing mind equals a growing person. By applying techniques that grow my mindset in a Biblically integrated way it helps grow my whole person: character, morals, and how I express those to others. The Bible is foundational to growing in the way the Lord has commissioned us to be.

One effective technique for developing a growth mindset is to embrace challenges. Rather than shying away from complex tasks, my growth mindset allows me to approach challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. I also view failure as a part of learning and setbacks as invaluable learning experiences. Cultivating a sense of curiosity and a love of learning come naturally to me, but finding time to keep learning can be difficult with a busy schedule. However, given this, I need to be persistent and resilient because to succeed at life-long learning requires perseverance and effort to achieve my goals. Adopting these growth mindset techniques allows me to develop what it takes to fulfill my potential.
