I am continually working on staying up to date on teaching, curriculum, and technology. This helps my growth mindset as I move forward to best support my students.

Remembering that we are all life long learners. That there is always something to learn!

I am intentionally challenging myself to continue reading books and writing down the ideas I have on various topics in the field. Writing forces you to think more clearly and completely about your ideas, and it especially builds discipline as you strive to keep the habit of writing daily or weekly.

I have asked the students in my class who are we honoring. I have started to ask myself that question too. I do my best and give God the rest. I have looked up ideas on line for professional and personal development. If I need help I will ask for it . I have asked God for wisdom and guidance in situations.

At the beginning of this year, I made specific goals to aid in my spiritual growth. I purchased resources that help me stay organized with my goals, reading, prayers, and notes. One of my goals for my quiet time with the Lord is to read the Bible through cover to cover in 2024. As I read, I have a guided journal where I answer comprehension and application questions to better reflect on what I just read. I also have a book that gives me a weekly task list divided into sections for prayer, service, gratitude, etc. This keeps me focused and eases my anxiety so that I am not overwhelmed.
