What are some ways you can apply the concepts learned in this lesson in your classroom?

I will use scripture to back up everything I tell the kids. And I will bring the bible out to point them in the right direction so they will know exactly where it is in the bible and know that it is the truth because it is God’s word.

As a science teacher, as we study the physical universe around us, it is so easy to discuss attributes of God along with how he has designed the world around us. Another way we are using Scripture in our classroom even outside of Bible class, is using it to teach and rebuke by speaking truth in a loving way to teach our students about what is right. Our standard is God’s Word and we all fall short. We are addressing negative behaviors with what does the Bible say about this action. Also, bringing it back to how our relationship with God and others are affected by our choices and how we can have restoration because of Jesus’ work on the cross.

I think of what she said about how Jesus responds to those who have authority over others, the religious leaders. What is interesting is that we don’t see him verbally attacking the Roman government. But we do see His displeasure with those that are supposed to be God’s voice here, those that are intrusted with His Word. Those that are to instruct others on His Word. This are cautions for those of us that are entrusted to teach others.

I should invest more time in reading and meditating on Scripture, and encourage my students to do the same.

To remember that we are all made in God’s image and those little ones are so precious to them. That’s what gives them such value. I remind my students whenever competitions come up or I sense a child is comparing themselves to another that their value comes from the truth that God values them so much that He died for them so that they could spend eternity with Him.
