We can look at characters’ actions and motivations in literature and compare them to the truth of God’s Word, how we should live according to the truths of Scripture, especially if the characters are ungodly. It matters that it’s ME teaching MY students, and I need to remember that my courses are divine appointments. God has given me a strong Scriptural foundation, and I’ve been a part of His family for a long time, thus giving me a bountiful supply of truth to share.

I really liked how the lecturer said that the most loving thing is to graciously speak the truth, and not just be tolerant. We can provide correction in a loving way. I like this because it helps to think of difficult conversations in this way – conversations with students but also with other staff.

While teaching in my classroom I can continue to and place more of an importance on Scripture and what God’s Word says. I need to impart the importance of all books of the Bible no matter how small or “boring” they maybe. As an educator it is my responsibility to impart the importance of doctrine, reproof and correction, and instruction in righteousness as outlined in Scripture. I have seen and heard some of my students speak to some of the survey results and they may fall into those categories.
At the beginning of the school year as a elementary band we briefly go over what we teach during Bible, it would be a good idea to make sure we are covering all parts of the Bible.

I plan on using more scripture in my classroom. Usually have a bible verse or a key concept of Biblical worldview in each lesson but I would like to have the students start realting direct bible verses to everything they do.

When you’re going through things in your life, turning to God’s word can direct you, not what people say. As educators, we should point to God’s word and read and dwell on what scripture states.
