Because of the importance of Scripture, I can be intentional about including more Bible reading in homeroom and my courses. Additionally, both personally and at school, I can be intentional about reading and knowing all of the Bible.

I desire for Scripture to be the foundation of my content and classroom. It should be the filter through which we sort all earthly content.

The main way to apply this to my classroom as I teach Scripture both Old and New Testament books is to display the gravity and importance of Scripture and its truth and meaning in a way the students can understand and apply to their live all the while living it myself.

I can apply the ideas from this lesson in various ways in my classroom. One significant approach is to incorporate biblical truths into all my lessons, allowing students to recognize God’s presence in their everyday lives. This connection establishes a personal link between the teachings of Scripture and their individual experiences.
In my home group (where most members are not in the course of the subject I teach), we have weekly topics and questions to discuss and share ideas after chapel time. I also meet with my home group three times a week before the first period of the day. During these meetings, we share the joys and challenges we encounter in our daily lives and then pray for one another, seeking wisdom from the Scriptures to help us overcome difficulties and more.
In Mandarin courses, I will have students present V.O.W. (Verse of the Week) in Chinese. Students will share what they know about the verse from their Bible course.

My students are inclined to “ask siri” for their questions and so when there is an opportunity I will tell them that their “go to” should be the Bible. It is inerrant and not influenced by the time in history. In addition, I think that as mentioned it is critical that we as educators ensure that the entire bible is taught/referenced in our teachings.
