This requires us to get into God’s Word ourselves and to become familiar with ALL of God’s Word. To look for opportunities to teach God’s Word as He leads each part of the lesson (through us) IE: when addressing behavioral problems in course, take the time to open up the Book of Proverbs- even if it isn’t on our agenda to do so.

There are many who would say they believe in Jesus but that they do not believe in all of Scripture. That statement is a contradiction.

It is easy to pick a Scripture that applies to the subject or topic but not tie it back into God’s plan for salvation through Christ. I want to be more intentional with using Scripture within context of the whole story of the Bible.

In today’s age, our students are being taught, well.. your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth. Tolerance truly is the worlds new “god”. Our kids need to know God’s truths are absolute truths. If what you are doing goes against God, it is sin. We need to do this very graciously. We do not want to come off as hypocrites or acting as if we are the keeper of good and bad behavior. Praise the Lord we are saved by grace! Our kids need to know this is true for them too.

(Karma, God helps those that help themselves). Sometimes kids are exposed to these phrases and beliefs and assume they are Biblical. It’s our responsibility to point out what’s from the culture and what’s Biblical.
