Modeling the use of Scripture as a plum-line, looking to God’s word as the supreme authority, and pointing students to the Bible when questions come up in course, is essential in training students about the supremacy of Scripture. We have a curriculum with a biblical worldview, which means that even at the center of content material is the underlying thread of God’s word. Incorporating verses and biblical truth in lessons as well as being a student of the word myself, so that God’s word flows from my speech in the classroom is also important.

We should be hiding God’s Word in our hearts; writing it on our hearts so that we do not forget what it says, and so that we can be prepared fr any situation that comes our way with God given truth! We have a memory verse every Friday and questions that go along with that verse to embed it and its truths in their hearts!

In the classroom it can be really hard to correct graciously, love in every situation, and always refrain from responding in a non-loving way, especially when you are correcting those students that are the most challenging ones. But also, the hardest “ones” to love, are the ones who need that love the most. We should act towards one another in a way that honors God, and we should exercise that daily.

1. Correct lovingly and graciously within what God wants for us.
2. Lead by example, even when things are difficult, in how we thank the Lord for every day and for his presence in our lives.
3. Impart biblical wisdom and truth throughout the day. -
The reality is that students will ask us the tough questions. We must be able to respond not with our “feelings” or mere “tolerance” of a situation, but grounded in truth and in God’s Word. That is the best way we can equip our students is by giving them wisdom from the Creator of wisdom.
