Making the foundation of scripture for our lessons, specifically, the truths found that we can connect to what we teach helps us to prepare our students for the path that they are to walk.

Speaking the truth in love when discussing a controversial topic, allowing your students to know that the only real truth comes from The Word of God. Incorporate scripture in all of your lessons and how you can apply them to daily life.

My lessons can always benefit from adding more Scripture. I find myself talking about what the Bible says, but I don’t always read that directly from the Bible, and I think reading relevant Scriptures in their entirety with their reference will allow me to uphold the beauty and integrity of Scripture. I can also use books of the Bible are not as popular to foster a love for ALL of Scripture. While some of the minor prophets may not seem applicable to our current world, they are the Word of God and they reveal history, God’s characteristics, and truths about God and people. Finally, this lesson offered me conviction about correction. Correction is Biblical and when done in love, it can be restorative and propel someone forward in their walk with the Lord.

Having children memorize verse from each book over the course of the year and help them understand the meaning of it.
