What are some ways you can help pass on a biblical worldview to your students?

Our curriculum has a biblical worldview which helps to integrate the Bible into every subject area during the day. We pray often, and I give the students opportunities to play for one another.

We start our day with praying for the students’ prayer requests and events going on in their lives and the school. Everything we are learning is founded in Scripture since our curriculum has a biblical world view. Students are always being shown through the book itself, and through the conversations we have in course every day, about how and why what they are learning relates to and is based on God’s Word and how it helps them grow in understanding God more. We memorize different verses in Spanish each chapter.

We pray, after taking prayer requests, read a devotional at the start of the day, and then I try to infuse God’s truth into everything we do. It helps, too, that we have curriculum across all content areas that has a biblical worldview. This allows every lesson to point students to truths about God and His word.

I love our BJU Press Biblical Worldview curriculum for our 6th graders. It is very philosophical in nature. We are touching on all of the areas that are necessary to know about in having a biblical worldview. I can not say enough good things about this curriculum.

While I am not yet employed in a Christian School, in my public school setting, I believe I pass on a biblical worldview by living by the principals presented in the Bible. Allowing students to still ask me tough questions while answering them in the best way possible with my biblical knowledge also opens the door to direct students to their own families to examine their questions. In previous Christian School settings, I am able to sit with students and show them where to find the answers to their questions in the Bible and then send them home to discover the answers with their families.
