I also try to demonstrate that there is no disconnect between the way I live my life and what I am teaching my students. I want to be the light to my students, to be the best role model for them.

I also can speak with them about the history of how God has moved among His people, and how He is moving in our society today. There is a lot of anxiety and fear, but God calls us to live peacefully and with hope. I can remind them of this fact.

I also wanted to demonstrate there is no disconnect between the way I live my life and what I am teaching my students (not compartmentalizing.) Dr. Black’s lecture was inpactful to me in that I gained a better appreciation for the fact that I am in that next generation to pass down the truths of the Gospel to the next generation. At the end of the school year, one of the students wrote a favorate memory of me was when I would share these stories as life lessons, and will remember them.
