I can expose them to Scripture (even in a non-Bible class) and pray with them. In my 1st period, we pray every morning and I take prayer requests once weekly. I also can speak with them about the history of how God has moved among His people, and how He is moving in our society today. There is a lot of anxiety and fear, but God calls us to live peacefully and with hope. I can remind them of this fact.

I try to make my classroom and welcoming and safe place for students. I want them to feel loved and accepted. I hope to bring more scripture into the daily lessons and spend more time in prayer in my daily lessons.

In the classroom, I strive to make everything relevant to Truth. In this way, students learn that there is more to following Christ than lip service, and that everything revolves around Him, as He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.

Some of the ways I try to pass on a Biblical worldview to my students to to share personal stories, and how Scripture was so encouraging. I also wanted to demonstrate there is no disconnect between the way I live my life and what I am teaching my students (not compartmentalizing.) Dr. Black’s lecture was inpactful to me in that I gained a better appreciation for the fact that I am in that next generation to pass down the truths of the Gospel to the next generation. At the end of the school year, one of the students wrote a favorate memory of me was when I would share these stories as life lessons, and will remember them.
