I use the KJV King James Version of the Bible. It was the version of the Bible that I had growing up as a child. It is the version that I learned and memorized from as a child. All of the Bible stories that I heard I learned from mostly the KJV. I primarily use the KJV for like everything study wise. I have also used and enjoyed in times past and present the NIV, NLT, HCSB just to name a few. I have a parallel bible that is a KJV/NLT that I use some times and I also use the BIBLE APP/YOUVERSION. I will use the KJV for this course.

I use the NASB 1995 version for studying and reading and for difficult to understand passages I’ll compare it to the NLT. I’ve been told the NASB is the most accurate ‘word for word’ translation and the the NLT is the most accurate ‘thought for thought’ translation. I also look up the verse in the Interlinear Bible on Biblehub.com to see what the original Greek/Hebrew said.

I use the NKJV of the Bible for my Bible study. I also use an and Amplified Bible at times because it gives me more detailed information without losing credibility. I will be using the NKJV for this course. In my personal studies I use several different versions of the Bible as long as they remain accurate and do not add or subtract from the Word. See Deuteronomy 4:2. Especially when working with kids I may choose a different version because I have to have it on a level that they can understand but as for myself I prefer the New King James Version.

I mostly use NIV because it is easier for me to understand. For devotional reading, I always read King James first and then NIV. I will probably use both King James and NIV for this course.

I use the King James version (KJV) because that’s the version I grew up using and am comfortable with. For devotionals I use the NIV but for this course, i’ll use the KJV.
