What Bible translation do you use and why? Do you use a different translation or paraphrase for devotional reading than you do for Bible study?

I use the NIV (1984) Study Bible. (My husband gave it to me early in our marriage, so it is sentimental.) More importantly, I like the commentary noted throughout the Scripture. It has margins wide enough for me to take notes which I have been doing for nearly 30 years. I use it for devotional reading as well as study. I will be using this Bible for this course.

I use NIV because it is easy to read and is fairly accurate. No, I use the NIV for bother devotional reading and Bible study. Some times I use ESV for Bible study. I will use NIV for this Bible study.
