What Bible translation do you use and why? Do you use a different translation or paraphrase for devotional reading than you do for Bible study?

I typically use the English Standard Version because I was told this is good for study and it is closer to the original language. I do use a few others for devotional reading, my favorite is the Christian Standard Bible. I will the CSB for this course.

I use the NIV, but also listen to the “VOICE” translation

NLT. The bible I was given is NLT, and many YFC bibles are NLT. I will use different translations when doing bible study (NIV, Message,). Most likely using NLT for this course.
