For devotional reading, I use the New International Version, because its translation follows a so-called “dynamic equivalent”. The meaning is caught and conveyed in modern terms; yet it is reasonably close to the original text unlike the Amplified Bible.
For my own Bible study, I use the NIV. For combined BS course, I follow the teacher’s preference – BSF uses NIV, East Asia School of Theology uses NASV, etc. It’s easier to follow the progress of the course and to communicate with fellow students this way.
For this course, I will use NIV because I notice most of the ODBU lecturers use it too.

I use the NKJ version. It is easy to understand and I feel it is more accurate or holds more information. I do sometimes I use the NIV in devotionals and Bible reading. I think I will stick with the NJK.

I use a combination of NIV, NCV, and TLB. This combination helps me to understand what the author is saying. For th is course I will probably use NIV.
