What Bible translation do you use and why? Do you use a different translation or paraphrase for devotional reading than you do for Bible study?

I used 6-8 translation as follows in no particular order (Message, NIV, NLT, Amplified, Voice, Good News, Common English, Modern English, and NASB). I allow the holy spirit guide me as far as translations to use.

I currently use NLT but I enjoy looking back at scripture in NKJV or KJV to see the differences between them.

I currently use NLT because it makes the most sense when I read it but I also have ESV and NIV copies. I use NLT for this course.

My church uses the NIV, but I find the CSV is more more favorite. So I would say I will use both for this course.

I have used ESV and NIV. I learn different things each different translation.
