I use the CSB to study because it blends translation styles and is easy for me to understand. That is the version I will use for this course. I often use the NKJV for time with God.

I am using the NIV translation of a Life Application Study Bible primarily for biblical study, and a NLT Help Finder Bible that is published by Guidepost Magazine for my devotional readings. My study bible has many helpful resources included such as maps, timelines and a concordance. My Help Finder Bible is very useful in terms of everyday application and interpretation of the Word.

I personally use the NASB, I use it because it is the closest to the original language. It feels a little stricter with the wording, but I know that I can trust it for my serious bible study. I will use the NASB and also the NIV for comparison.

I have used the NIV study bible since I was a young girl. It was the translation used by my church and I knew the additional help on the pages would show increased depth of understanding. I also use that same bible for devotions and study and will continue to use it for this course.
