I believe that God is always working. God does work in both heroic feats and spectacular conversations if we give our due credence. I have seen God work in the ordinary if individuals are available to give God their attention.

I have still believe that the apostles and early christians did some work courageously. they take their master mission seriously and spread the gospel to the world.

As with most stories/accounts, there is nearly always some truth imbedded within. In my opinion, it does stand to reason that if God worked miracles in Scripture, and if I believe those miracles occurred, why could He not continue working in the same manner through the Apostles or even through the common, unnamed people who were believers? There are still miracles that happen today, too. That said, God often works through a still, small voice, as well. He is God, the Creator of all, so his ways are unique for each person’s circumstance, and who am I to put him “within a box”?

I think spectacular conversions and heroic feats happen and we are to give it due credence. God worked marvelous wonders for the specific goal of conversion.

There should be a highly significant degree of credence given to the Christian accounts of spectacular conversions and heroic feats by famous missionaries. Why you ask…because they are in the bible. The bible is God’s word. All of it. These accounts do not differ from my previous assumptions. God works in ways that often defies human reasoning. His ways are different from our ways. I believe God works through both spectacular and ordinary conversions. God works in any way He sees fit. My experience has been to tenaciously hold on to faith; believe what is humanly unbelievable. All is possible with God.
