What devotional methods have you used in the past? Which would you like to try in the future?

I use daily devotionals .. my favorite being Jesus Calling. I enjoy both the Daily Word and Our Daily Bread and I journal and have used different forms. I currently use 100 Days of Joy and Strength

since i am retired now when i wake in the morning i thank God for a new day to do something for him. i have three devotional rsources i read; our daily bread, cbn and love worth finding. all these are apps on my phone. i pray over these and pray to live an undefeated life for that day. i ask God to keep my soul and mind in a constant state of prayer and thankfulness. at night is when i read a verse, chapter of the bible to keep Gods word in my heart. I pray
what i would like to start more of is just being quiet and let God speak to me. -
I tried one year Bible reading plans and have failed miserably each time. Reading God’s word became more of a thing to check off as opposed to a quality meeting with the Lord. I should try journaling in the future so that I have a record of what God has revealed to me throughout my devotional times.

I love just spending time reading and meditating on God’s Word. I would love to try journaling!

I like of course Our Daily Bread as a daily devotional, along with that I read Jesus Always, Jesus is Calling, Walking in Grace, and I do a woman’s daily journal. In the devotionals I reference and read the scriptures listed in each book for that day. I also enjoy keeping my listening tuned to our local Christian music channel where I get hear daily teachings from many preachers. I would love to read more, but I ready only in little chunks because I have a low comprehension. I might add that while I enjoy listening to the Christian channel I am working on creating coloring books for older adults, mainly flowers, and Christian related content. I’m inspired by God’s beauty all over our world, and from his living word. I am very grateful that God is using me
