They have been a rich blessing to me and I would not stop them. However, another method I want to try in the future is combing Our Daily Bread Devotional time with sacred music and a time of meditation on the main verse of the devotion for that day along with the word of the music I listen to. I believe that will enrich the already wonderful time I have during the reading of the ODB Devotional and prayer time.

Deleted User05/24/2023 at 19:45I have done many, many devotional methods. I am currently reading two devotionals with my husband at the breakfast table before we eat. It is a joy to see and hear what we each get from the Word. I have used the verse by verse method of going through the bible and writing down what I glean. I have used the read quietly outside method, the pray the scripture method, the workbook method, the read and sing praises method…really there is no end but, the best method I have used for me is reading passages and then writing down how I can apply the Word to my life.
