What devotional methods have you used in the past? Which would you like to try in the future?

I have read and journaled in the past but consistency wasn’t there.

Currently using the daily devotional on the YouVersion Bible app. What I need to do is sticking to a time slot. What I would like to try to do is just reading from the Bible and meditating on what I read and how it will apply to my life. I need to spend more time with God. A five minute devotional is not enough.

I haven’t used any methods with a degree of regularity, but I’m going to start blocking time on my calendar. It’s true how the video talks about something always popping up to get in the way because I actually get to work 3 hours before most people now, and I still struggle to break away. The pressure really isn’t there other than my own work ethic, so it’s just a matter of priority, and I’m going to take back some of that time to focus on reading and praying every day.

I’ve used the Oswald Chambers book and also Jesus Calling. I’d like to journal more as I go however.

I have used devotional books, bible reading plans, journaling, and other methods. I would like to continue to take a deep dive into the Bible as I am now and looking at the cultural it was written to and understanding the message being revealed better.
