Reading and texting my thoughts to a group chat of my accountability partners has worked well for the past few years. Pray, read, pray is always good.

I love journaling and have found it very helpful not only to write down my prayers, but also to listen to what the Lord says to me.

I used to read devotionals years ago but stopped. I teach Bible lessons. I pray and read my Bible but I have not done what you are suggesting in this lesson. I’m looking forward to do it.

I would use the daily bread stories daily in the mornings to stay focus and listen to the lord’s word. Haven’t tried journaling and would definitely consider it to help me reflect more on the lord’s word.

My problem has always been consistency. I have tried early mornings and it was working but lately I seem to be connecting with God right before bed time. I have so many thoughts that run through my mind constantly. I am always thinking. I need to learn to just quiet my spirit and be still. Pray for me.
