What devotional methods have you used in the past? Which would you like to try in the future?

I’ve only studied scripture daily in the past. I plan on incorporating a devotional (probably Our Daily Bread) daily.

My favorite and go to when teaching beginners how to journal is the soap method, Scripture – Observations – Apply \ Appreciation – Prayer \ Purpose. It is easy to remember and takes only 10 – 15 minutes to do if you’re in a busy season. I would like to work more on mapping. I cannot seem to find enough time and I think I overcomplicate it as well.

Some devotional methods I have used in the path are some FCA devotionals that they provide, but in the future I would really like to complete a full Bible-In-A-Year plan!

Reading and reflecting on <em style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: inherit;”>Day by Day by Grace, by Pastor Bob Hoekstra is absolute gold!!!! I highly recommend. Journaling is good too, but i don’t do it near enough or as much as i used to.
