What devotional methods have you used in the past? Which would you like to try in the future?

I have used many devotional methods in the past. Methods such as Oswald Chambers – “My Utmost for His Highest.”
Over the years “Our Daily Bread” has been and still continues to be my companion. I use the “You Version” verse for the day and read the entire scripture the verse came from. I subscribed to “Upper Room” and many others. I have followed digital as well as paper plans. Sometimes I just listen to audio versions of devotional and scripture readings. I have no preference of method, as long as I find or make time daily. -
I’ve been reading and reflecting on ODB Daily devotions for many years now. I spend a good 30 minutes in the morning before work, and similar time before going to bed.

Currently I read the Daily Bible which breaks down the Bible into 365 sections so that I read through the Bible in a year. My entire church commits to this so there is built in accountability and motivation to read consistently. I’m hoping to add a time of journaling after reading to prompt deeper thinking and reflection.

I currently use the daily wisdom for men devotional, and it is a great way to supplement my scripture reading and Bible study each morning.

I have used Our daily bread, Women’s devotionals, and online devotionals found on Pinterest. I have found a book on verse mapping and the Bible recap with the workbook. I am currently doing the Bible recap.
