I have used devotionals from websites, bloggers, and other sources.
Currently do prayer journaling, inductive bible study, prayer (without a journal). It is best for me to do this in the morning before I do other things.

I began meeting with the Lord first thing in the morning when my children where babies. I would get up at least two hours before their regular wake-up time to assure I had my time with the Lord… I have continued that practice even still that all of our children are away at college or married. I use Precept Bible studies, journaling, listening, and prayer.

I am doing a plan for reading the Bible in a year. I wish I was one that liked to journal.

journaling has helped me slow down my thinking so that I don’t have such a busy mind when I’m trying to focus on God’s word. Underlining in my bible also forces me to pay attention to what I’m reading.
