I grew up having family devotions and my father would actually read Our Daily Bread with the family. I continued with this as I got older. But now, I choose a book of the Bible and work my way through it and ask for the Holy Spirit to reveal to me what I need to know and grow in from this scripture.

I personally like to spend time in different books of the Bible. I enjoy reading a whole book and going one chapter a day to really dive in.

I have used Our Daily Bread, Yearly Reading Plans of the Bible, FCA Daily Devotionals and the another devotional located in our Coach’s Bible. Supplementing with Bible Studies and topics/books as well as podcasts help me to dig deeper.

I have a HelpFinder bible that I ordered from Guideposts magazine that I love. I also use the Our Daily Bread devotional booklets that I receive each month. Our Daily Bread University courses are also helping me in my daily devotional practice as well.

The devotional methods that I have used in the past are the one-year Bible plans online. I enjoy the plan because I don’t feel the plan is overwhelming to spiritually mature or immature Christians. I will continue using the same one-year Bible plan.
