What devotional methods have you used in the past? Which would you like to try in the future?

I have used a scripture of the day or daily devotional as a starting point for focus. I also journal. Important to me is capturing what I hear and seeking understanding for application. My greatest challenge is consistency, not in method but availability; therefore, the discipline is a best practice for me.

I have used Our Daily Bread and the devotionals on the YouVersion Bible app. I find these work very well for me.

some that I have used in the past our running or going for a walk. I would like to try in the car because I have alot of driving time to myself and i think it would help me out alot

The combo of Bible reading and prayers in any order has worked for me hitherto. However, finding and sticking to a consistent timeslot in the day has been a lingering challenge for me. I’ll want to successfully address my timeslots inconsistency issue rather than wanting to try other devotional methods.

I have not journaled. I like the idea of asking how to apply the verse.
Setting a time that is consistent has been awesome. If I can’t at that time, making sure it is a priority in the schedule is huge.

I get an annual daily devotion book for Christmas and committed to using every day to start my day. Try a deeper way to spend time with god daily by scheduling time.
