What do Hinduism and Buddhism have in common concerning the concept of salvation? From what is each seeking to be saved?

They both believe they are in a cycle of life, death and being born again into a better or worse life depending on their previous life. They long and some strive to enter into an escape from this cycle by following very strict paths in hopes of finally entering into either a loss of self conscienceness in the case of Hinduism, or Nirvana which is nothingness as in Buddhism

They both believe in reincarnation, an endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth. They long to leave this cycle.

Hinduism and Buddhism both worshippers strive to leave this life into a better life or reach complete Nirvana.

Adherents of both Hinduism and Buddhism strive for the liberation from life here on Earth. Both faiths also believe in an endless cycle of reincarnation.
