Hindus and Buddhists believe in birth, death, and rebirth (reincarnation), which is never-ending cycle. To be saved from this cycle, Hindus are required to walk the three-fold path. The first being works, the second path is true knowledge or realization that the individual is a manifestation of Brahman, and the third path is in devotion to their religion, family, and community. Buddhists are saved from life and advance to Nirvana, a nothingness. To them the “nothingness” is more like a higher consciousness.

Both believe in an endless cycle of reincarnation and both seek to be saved from this never-ending cycle.

Hinduism and Buddhism have in common that both believe in the cycle of reincarnation and the existence of karma. Both seek an end to the cycle of rebirth or often refereed to as being liberated.

An endless cycle of reincarnation, each seeking to be saved from cycle they both believe in such as Karma.

They have no true sense of salvation. They both teach that the actions in this life will determine their nature in their next life. They seek liberation from life as we know it on earth.
