What do you find encouraging about Jesus’ teaching on faith in Luke 17:6?

I do not need to be a spiritual giant and to have Herculean faith to have my prayers answered. It is the greatness of my God that matters. Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.

That if my faith is as small as a mustard seed, I can do great things for God. I supposed it’s because when we believe God and obey his instructions, we can accomplish what God wants.

I love that it was his response to the Apostles’ request, “…increase our faith.” Jesus also was tender to the father who said, “…help thou my unbelief.” God meets us where we are on our journey of faith. He doesn’t sit back with arms sternly crossed, waiting for us to qualify for the Hebrews 11 “hall of fame” before engaging with us. What a friend we have in Jesus! What a privilege to carry everything to him in prayer!

You don’t have to have great faith for us to ask God for things or just to talk to Him. A small amount of faith will do. We dont have to impress God through our prayers but just be honest with Him and watch Him move.

I am encouraged that even the smallest faith can make a difference in God hearing and answering my prayers. I can also pray to God to increase my faith, as this is always my struggle where I have experienced unanswered prayer .
