What do you find encouraging about Jesus’ teaching on faith in Luke 17:6?

Romans 12:3 states that the Lord has dealt to each of us the measure of faith. Can we really ask for an increase in faith or do we just use the measure of faith that He has given us? I believe that it is more than enough. We were given just what we need to receive from Him and do what He has commanded. We just have to become aware of what we already have and the more we do, the more I believe we walk in it.

I find it encouraging that God does not require me to have a massive amount of faith to be effective in the work of His kingdom. I simply am asked to have the smallest amount of faith and to trust God to do the actual work.

He encourages me to use whatever little faith I may have, and instead of condemning me for such small faith, He encourages me to use what I have. In this I think He will grow my faith, like He did when the disciples brought Him a few loaves of bread and a handful of fish. this is what I am thinking about as I read this verse today.

I thank the Lord that He does not need a lot of faith from us. Just small like a mustard seed to trust in Him, and He will help us to move mountains/ giants in our lives. How amazing is that!

My amount of faith isn’t the determining factor in God’s ability to act. We can never say God didn’t answer a prayer because we didn’t have enough faith or pray hard enough, He says right here, that we don’t need much at all.
