I think these are basics for us to know and discover when reading the Bible. These contextual clues really key us in to not read it with our current cultural lenses, but to really take in Scripture as it was first intended to be taken in. These are key steps to good interpretations. We don’t just read the Bible to understand it, we must interpret it!

I think it gives us a greater understanding of the context and intended meaning behind each book of the Bible.

I think each of these questions engages us personally in reading scripture. They cause us to seek deeper understanding and help us to slow down in our consumption of Scripture. Asking them will bring more insight into each and every thing we read

These questions help bring much more understanding and context to each chapter of the Bible. It keeps my perspective right as I remember the reasons and relationships behind the book of the Bible!

I enjoyed having the prompts broken down this way into both macro and micro observations. This helps me slow down and get a solid grasp on a book of the bible before just jumping in and trying to interpret it without context. Having all 6 of these prompts ensures a thorough understanding.
