Each question helps put the particular book into context, so that we don’t misunderstand what the writer is telling us.

I have been reading my bible for many years, and studying it individually and with others, through bible study material and just reading and studying it without material. although I often looked up some of these questions briefly, I never did a macro study, taking time to consider this as a first approach. i am grateful for this teaching and look forward to getting more from studying the bible with this understanding.

Answering those questions help us understand a certain book of the Bible because it forces us to stop and put us back in the time of the Bible, to see the context, period, place and purpose of the writing. We have to learn about the customs and history of the time.
