What do you think Joab experienced as he fought in the water tunnels to take the city of Jerusalem?

He probably had to deal with darkness, dreary, wet places. He never knew what was ahead of him. Places were narrow at times and he may have struggled to get through.

Joab was a mighty man of valor but even he must have had reservations about secretly walking through narrow channels in mostly darkness not knowing what he was going to face.

I would imagine that Joab experienced fear and excitement. I am sure it wasn’t easy to make it through those tunnels, but having gone through caves, I know there is some excitement while traveling through them. And because they were propelled by their objective to take the city that way, that would have created excitement as well.

Trepidation-it was dark, you could not see where you were going, you could not see possible attackers, it was narrow and treacherous underfoot. I am sure it must have felt claustrophobic as it was so enclosed. It must have been so difficult to manage just carrying weapons and communicating with those that accompanied him.
