What do you think Joab experienced as he fought in the water tunnels to take the city of Jerusalem?

I think he and his team went in there with tripedation. as the tunnel is narrow and not sure whether they will be discovered and being slaughtered in the tunnels. But as they called on the Lord God , His peace and presence were with them. They were assured that the Lord is their deliverer and with total trust in Him to deliver the city of Jebus to them.

I think he would have felt very unsure of this place but put his faith in God.

Whether Joab used “Warrens Tunnel” or another portion of the water system, no one knows. Going into battle brings many anxieties. Family, friends, position, power; would he/they be discovered. If they fought in the tunnel, this brings many advantages. Because as the attacker he has the surprise element. The enemy was bold and arrogant, this route was hopefully unexpected. He is fighting for “King and Country”. But in hand to hand combat, you cannot have doubts. You have to be confident and sure of yourself.
