What do you think the lecturer means when she says “loving one another is based on truth”? Why is this an important concept to understand?

Love is a word with its own philosophy. The world doesn’t understand love in the same way Christian’s can. Our example is truth. It is a love that meets even the lowest, where they are. It is a love that offers correction. It is a live that sacrifices itself. The world sees love as offering self expression.

To love biblically is to love intentionally. We must know the object of our love in order to do this. This includes knowing in reality.

We love because He first love us.
We know God is all love, all truth, all mercy.
Loving the way God loves is based on truth, as it is mimicking Him.
Is in that love that we must be truthful and correct, without missing the love and merciful part. -
Truth refers to The Word. The Word is Truth without the word you can not truly love .

God is love so when we love one another it means we know God. God is all truth so true love is based on knowing truth.
